The Legendary leader of the Nair Community, turned out part of history; remained a towering social reformer during his life time. He was Indeed, loved and accepted by the people of Kerala. His dedication to public causes and immense love to humanity, brought laurels to him from Govt.of India in the form of prestigious national awards such as "Padmabhooshan" and "Bharath Rathna".
"Mannam" (So was he popularly known) formed Nair Service Society on 31st October 1914 for injecting courage and strength and empower Nairs for honoured living.
Mannath Padmanabhan always remain a lighting torch to each and every nair community member, and we too are inspired by his vision and ideals. And hence, we gave shape to this humble beginning MACT (Mannath Acharya Charitable Trust)
MACT is founded to serve the economically weak members of Nair – Nambiar community as well as that of forward community in general. We wish to extend a helping hand to those under-privileged among us. We consider this a noble deed. To achieve the goal; very pleasantly we accept, monetary assistance from the well-to do; generous persona-lities & make use of the same, for the noble, genuine cause of helping the poor.

Trust members are a team; where you find Medical professional, Dignitary from Hospitality industry, leading contractors and known men from business arena as well socially famed ones.
We aim to extend a helping hand and support to forward community members and families who look out for assistance of various sorts. It varies from monetary, medical aid and even care for the very old. When we started on 18th December 2006; we had very limited plans. However, day by day, we realized how deeply people in general assess us ! We knew that we should act very seriously.

Various situations erupted. We had to adopt a literally poor family of very old mother, her mentally imbalanced daughter and two School-going children as well as a her 46year old son ‘crawling boy’- Pappan. Since inseption we have been taking care of the monthly living expenses of this family hailing from Puzhathi near Puthiyatheru, Kannur. We provide gold ornaments to brides who are unbelievably backward financially.
So far we could help 40 plus such cases. We encourage annually, meritorious students by giving Cash Awards and honouring them in public. We also honour personalities with spectacular achievements from various fields. Indeed they are honoured in pu- blic in the presence of eminent figures.
